Experience
The LIHTC marketplace has been severely affected by the recent financial crisis. The Housing and Economic Recovery Act of 2008 (HERA) and the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA) contain several provisions intended to stabilize the LIHTC industry. DOZ provides a vast array of consulting services to developers, owners and managers within the Affordable Housing Industry to help our clients to prepare and react to these recent changes.
DOZ members have served on discussion panels detailing the LIHTC provisions contained in HERA at various trade organizations, including the National Association of State and Local Equity Funds and the Indiana Apartment Association. DOZ was involved in a consulting capacity with the Indiana Housing and Community Development Authority, helping formalize its Section 1602 Tax Credit Exchange and Tax Credit Assistance Program (both incentives contained in ARRA) policies and procedures.
