October was a month of physical activity for DOZ!
DOZ employees participated in the American Cancer Society’s Making Strides to End Breast Cancer 5k run/walk on October 15th. Through cash donations and T-shirt sales, DOZ raised $2,973 to help end breast cancer. Many DOZ employees, joined by their families and friends, made their way down to Celebration Plaza on Saturday, October 15th to show their support for breast cancer survivors and remember the loved ones lost.
On October 23rd, DOZ participated in the Back on My Feet 42k relay race to support the Indianapolis chapter of the Back on My Feet organization. BoMF promotes self-sufficiency among Indy’s homeless population through running programs aimed to build their confidence, strength, and self-esteem. DOZ took part in the event as a “Sprint Sponsor” and also sent a relay team of four individuals to spend the day at White River State Park. Each team member completed three 2.2 mile legs of the relay helping DOZ finish 53rd out of 95 teams – way to go!
