On September 23, 2011 DOZ partnered with the Legacy Fund and Habitat for Humanity of Hamilton County for the 9th Annual Indiana CPA Day of Service. Our goal for this one day service project was to make a difference for those living in our local community. DOZ employees volunteered their time working on the home build project of Habitat for Humanity of Hamilton County for the Burns/Stewart family in Cicero, IN.
28 employees from DOZ and 6 students from the Indiana University at Indianapolis Accounting Association joined together for a morning and afternoon shift to work on the home build. The outstanding volunteer turnout and great weather allowed the group to accomplish many tasks including; priming the entire inside of the home, moving trash and debris into dumpsters, repairing portions of the back decking, removing small remnants of old vinyl siding, installing new LP Smart Siding on approximately half of the exterior of the home, and completing some routine lawn care.
DOZ employees appreciated the opportunity to give back and volunteer their time in the local community by participating in the CPA day of service. We are already looking forward to our next service project!!
