Steve Dauby, CPA

Steve is one of the founding members of Dauby O’Connor & Zaleski, LLC, and has specialized in the real estate industry since 1984. He has extensive experience in the affordable housing arena, with a particular focus on properties that utilize the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) pursuant to Section 42 of the Internal Revenue Code.  more++

 

 

 

Sean O’Connor, CPA

Sean is one of the founding members of Dauby O’Connor & Zaleski, LLC, and has been in the practice of public accounting for over twenty five years. DOZ started as a two man firm in 1987 and has grown to a nationally-recognized leader in the real estate arena with clients in over 40 states.  more++

 

 

 

Ted Zaleski, CPA

Ted has been in public accounting since 1968, two years part time while in school, two years split between audit and tax, and the last thirty-eight years strictly tax.  Prior to the time of founding Dauby O’Connor & Zaleski, all his experience was with medium size national CPA firms; S.D. Leidesdorf & Co. (merged with Ernst & Young) and Laventhol & Horwath in Chicago and Indianapolis.    more++

 

 

Bill Farrington, CPA

Bill has been in financial and management executive positions in industry and public accounting since 1981.  His experience includes five years on the audit staff of Coopers & Lybrand during the early 1980’s, financial and management positions with manufacturing entities from 1986 through 1997, and five years of public accounting since 1997 devoted to multifamily real estate development, construction / development,  and property management activities.   more++

 

Nancy Morton, CPA

Nancy has been in the practice of public accounting for over 18 years, having worked with the international accounting firms of Arthur Andersen and Deloitte & Touche prior to joining Dauby O’Connor & Zaleski, LLC in December 2001.Nancy has specialized in the real estate industry with a particular focus in partnership and not for profit tax compliance matters. more++

 

 

Steve Hise, CPA

Steve joined Dauby O’Connor & Zaleski, LLC as a Principal in 2007, bringing over 25 years of experience in the real estate industry.  He is responsible for the management and oversight of the DOZ’s 25-member tax department which currently prepares, reviews, and files over 3,000 tax returns annually.  Steve is actively involved in a variety of client services specializing in all aspects of real estate and Affordable Housing Industry.  more++

 

 

Jeff Lathrop, CPA

Jeff has specialized in the multifamily housing real estate industry for the past seven years.  Since joining Dauby O’Connor & Zaleski, LLC in June 2004, he has prepared and/or reviewed numerous audits of limited liability companies, partnerships and not-for-profit entities owning various real estate developments.  more++

 

 

Heather Perry, CPA

Heather has specialized in the real estate industry for the last twelve years.  During that time, she has prepared and/or reviewed numerous audits of limited liability companies, corporations, partnerships and not-for-profit entities owning various real estate developments.  These audits have been prepared for the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), Rural Economic and Community Development, and various debt and equity providers.    more++

 

Cemal (Gemi) Ozdemir

Gemi is DOZ Marketing Director and has been with DOZ since 1994.  Gemi is responsible for leading our marketing efforts, maintaining client contacts, pursuing leads and enhancing our name brand across the country.  Gemi is currently a board member for both NAHMA and MAHMA and is actively involved in other industry affiliated organizations.  more++

 

Principals

Tim Doyle, CPA

Tim has been in various positions in public accounting over the past 20 plus years. Prior to joining Dauby O’Connor and Zaleski, LLC, Tim worked for Arthur Andersen in Indianapolis, IN for 18 years. At Arthur Andersen, Tim assisted in managing all aspects of the Indianapolis office consisting of 120 people. He also served as a senior in-charge auditor for privately and publicly held clients in various industries.  more++

 

Jacob T. Buehler, CPA

Jacob has specialized in the multifamily housing real estate industry since joining Dauby O’Connor & Zaleski, LLC in January 2006.  He has prepared and/or reviewed numerous audits of limited liability companies, partnerships and not-for-profit entities owning various real estate developments.  Jacob is very experienced with audits that adhere to the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and Low Income Housing Tax Credit guidelines, overseeing the completion of approximately 175 audits each year. more++

 

Greg A. Wasiak, CPA

Greg has worked in public accounting since 2001, and has been with Dauby O’Connor & Zaleski, LLC since 2008.  Greg has been responsible for managing the execution of all phases of the audits of partnerships, limited liability companies and not-for-profit organizations that are owned by real estate developments, including fund audits. Those audits were prepared for HUD, RD, and various debt and equity providers.  In addition, he has also supervised and performed various agreed upon procedures and final cost certifications for Section 42 tax credits of several entities. more++
